Using Amplug, I can practice without bothering other people by loud and unblockable low frequency sound from bass guitar and I can still have good quality sound during practice.

Then practice solo, groove with the onboard acoustic drum patterns and metronome, or jam with music streamed from your smartphone. There are models that only amplify the 'clean' sound of your guitar - so without effects, but there are also plenty of models that mimic the sound of a famous amplifier or set you up with the standard tone needed to play styles like rock, blues, metal, and so on. Plugging in to your guitar is now even easier thanks to the newly engineered jack plug that features a 180 degree rotating movement.This is probably enough for most people but after testing the Vox I did miss the different beat variations within each genre. Weirdly when the FX button is switched on the max volume decreases but it is still loud enough for most uses. I’m not real sure what kind of pick up I have in my Michael Kelly Dragonfly 5, but I think it’s a pretty basic piezo, but it does take a 9v battery. This means if you are playing the bass at higher volumes on the overdrive setting, the rhythm track can be hard to hear.

This design faithfully simulates the characteristics of the original amp circuitry with entirely analogue specifications. I did receive the Vox Bass Headphone Amplifier, and I am quite happy with it, although I have yet to find a use for the “rhythm button”.
