I love the bottle design, the way it feels is just as important (if not more important) than the way it looks and this fits right in the palm of your hand. But gosh, this one has been with me half of my life now (half, like since I've got into scents when I was 15, now I'm 32y old and still love it), around 15y I would say. But when you wait a moment for the fragrance to calm down and look behind the in-your-face gourmand notes, there is more to it. A little spicy and sharp at first spray but it mellows out into this vanilla licorice, not licorice vanilla, scent that is really tasty. It still smells like VLJ with licorice, but if you like VLJ but find it weak with bad sillage-- this may be your answer!

I am not trying to offend anyone who loves this, perfume is SO personal and subjective (what we all like, anyway), but this one (so aptly named) slays me.Now it smells a bit more licorice-y with bubble gum and rootbeer smell, sounds foul I know, but this aroma is actually pretty yummy.

The licorice is sweet and dark at the same time, the most dominant note on this one (for me at least), but it still doesn't cover the others. The initial scent is fruity and tasty - I think it's in the first few moments of the perfume's life that the mandarin orange really shines through. Thankfully the sweetness of the dark and spicy anise scent that’s almost a touch tobacco-like, overpowers the jasmine and patchouli, so it ends up smelling like LL without the violet and cherry, but with a dash of black coffee instead.The temptation of the fruity top notes slowly gives way to an intriguing and intensely feminine floral heart. Firstly I am a SUCKER for gourmand scents; that, and the curiosity I had over the liquorice note, is precisely what led me to get a sample of this.
