As the popularity of Savage Wisdom grew, I dedicated an entire collection for my brand, Just Aura, to the name.

This audio book was recommended to me by a friend, who has supported me through a very traumatic period in my life. I find myself endlessly scrolling though pointless Instagram videos at 3am to distract myself and who should slap me in the face with the words "if people keep treating you like shhhh, and you keep allowing it.Everything he says is true, but so many of us either do not want to or are not able to hear such hard words. It really opened my eyes to what I had been found a lot and after reading it I found myself questioning the ‘why’s’. One of those quick and delightful reads that gives you a kick in the pants, leaves you inspired, and gets you up off your ass.

It's a good snappy reminder of how you can be effective at life - to be honest, it's a short listen so I'll probably listen to it a few times when I need reminding of a load of these concepts without having to dedicate time to a whole/more complex book. Showing up every day as my truest, realest self – no matter who is in front of me – allowed my confidence to grow and my personality to flourish. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It resonates and because of that it sticks and you are practicing it without having to think about it. I felt as though I was finally stepping into my power, and that is essentially the core message of Savage Wisdom; to accept yourself for who you are, and be unapologetic in your approach to life.I already did most of the hard work of healing cuts to an extent, but there was that something that just kept cropping up eating me away, beating myself up for.
