About this deal

This is the best book about the Chaos Gods and the second best book about Chaos in general after «Tome of Corruption» (WFRP).

I think Khaine was always really awkward in this regard, way back in Warhammer Fantasy Third Edition he was explicitly referred to as an example of an evil deity who wasn't affilliated with Chaos but given his name and sphere seem so similar to Khorne and he was worshipped by the Dark Elves (who way back then were explicitly Chaos corrupted), you obviously had to ask questions. For most of them, I’ve cracked them open to see what they look like (seemingly pristine to me), but that’s it. Seems like it's entirely down to GW deciding the content is not something they want to be associated with as a company, hence the conclusion that there likely won't be any reprints in English either.Yeah, but a vague non-statement about values is exactly what you would use to avoid tensions with e. Most were excellently written, but the one which seems prized above almost all of them was the Liber Chaotica. From whenever 'then' was, until wherever 'now' is, the gods have continued their unending dance, twirling each other through the minds and souls of mortals.

I'm sure that the Slaanesh part contains lots of passages that mention ''unnatural acts'' and so on, that could be understood as homophobic if you are very sensitive and also ignore the fact that it is obviously not the opinion of the author or the company, but the opinion of a fictional character inside a fictional society that is, in fact, actually homophobic as well as a lot of other bad things. Being an account of the dark secrets and arcane lore of, the most terrible mysteries and hidden truths of the Ruinous Powers. If you have a taste for endlessly reading up on religion/mythology and want to see someone do that in a fantasy setting, I'd probably recommend this text, because it definitely caught my eye when I was a teenager. Like, the cruelty and horror is that Joe is torn away from his loving spouse, given a rifle and maybe a flak vest, and thrown into the meatgrinder for a battle that's probably not even needed. From the cold north, barbarian hordes sweep down to consume all in their path: beastmen stalk theforests; mutants live among men, spreading their corruption and foulness.

While it outlines a great deal of lore from many viewpoints, and covers familiar territory, it nevertheless avoids pinning down Chaos to a few distinct elements. I know I got one the last time GW did a reprint and its a great book, some utterly awesome chaos art in there! Oldest of gods and greatest of warriors, Khorne's armies stretch from infinity to infinity to infinity and the Pleasure God may not rival Him.

However, Black Library's thankful change of heart in reprinting older works has paid off, so now I have a full copy in front of me. which would go in the Hype Machine, ask specific questions with strong prompts, just like a normal thread does. One could think that the Chaos and the Chaos Gods of Warhammer would present the perfect setting to get stories of anti-hero in abundance. This might be surprising to some, but the trouble with madness is that it can be very hard to follow.
