The sporty design is something that I wasn’t the biggest fan of at first but they have really grown on me. The shoes are a bit on the narrow side, and while this didn’t cause any major issues, I was pretty happy to take them off after the round. Combined with an already highly soft and well-cushioned tongue providing comfort from above, as well as the OrthoLite Impressons FitBed offering great comfort from below, the inner fit sleeve joined the two components together to support the tarsus and metatarsus parts of my foot unbelievably well. The Fury showcases a number of unique performance features including an internal fit system that focuses on fit comfort and support. Featuring the TruFit System, providing you with extra stability where its needed and more comfort where you want it.

This new design means the fitbed in the Fury hoes moulds to match the shape of your foot, further increasing comfort.

As comfy as the insole was, whether it actually created a custom fit after taking an impression of my foot is hard to tell. It may fine in the nice conditions of USA but Irish golf conditions require a real waterproof shoe and the Fury model is most certainly not that! There’s mesh in the toe, a smooth leather upper, and the silver FlexGrid MLC cage around the midfoot. Most will benefit from the added traction and stability over many other FJ models in 2019 but it is the comfort that will make Fury an instant hit for any golfer trying them on for the first time.

As a tall golfer, I prefer a golf shoe that is low to the ground to give me all the balance I can get, the Fury looked to tick that box perfectly. Not only did they feel lightweight and athletic, they felt sturdy, strong and stable with the FlexGrid Cage living up to its promises of locking in my feet to support my golf swing. You can immediately tell they are real quality golf shoes that deliver on every aspect of performance. For what it’s worth, I’ve played with two other people recently who were rocking the Fury’s and they raved about their comfort and how much they liked them.
