I'm currently building a Bond without a knife (Rebar saw in place of knife and Wave+ scissors in place of lanyard ring/small flathead) but cannot believe Leatherman doesn't offer more options than the Rebar without a knife. On either side it has a little squeezy latch to release the lock on all the tools (the lock keeps the tools open). It's really just about somebody telling you that you can't have something, or that you can't do something. Similar to the Super Tool 300, the Rebar pliers have been manufactured for optimal strength and feature wire and hard wire cutters. I'm not going to dock a star for the fact that FW's listing erroneously lists this tool as having a bottle opener (a can opener is all that's included in this department), but whilst knocking the lid off a cool one might not be quite so neatly accomplished in the absence of a dedicated opener, it's not exactly rocket science to do so in other ways.

Agreed this is an option, but what I mean is I wish they would design a NEW tool that emphasizes the scissors instead of a blade instead of just switching in the small scissors. Regardless of where the multi-tool is made, the multi-tool needs to meet the local government requirements or the multi-tool can not be legally sold in that country.Doesn't make sense to change the plier head as I've not heard of any problems with them breaking when using the crimpers. But that does not apply to "environments and job sites that need a handy set of tools, yet don’t allow for knife blades". A precise measuring guide for determining length in inches or centimetres, up to 8 inches or 19 centimetres.

Then I need to add environments and job sites to the original governments who do not trust their subjects / enviro-ites / job site-rs to own a knife. The tool itself is really well built, tough and durable, and it came well lubricated and oiled - no hitches at all when exposing any of the tools.Think I may have found a Knifeless Fuse for sale, I might just go for that, as it has no locking saw or awl, so is definitely UK-legal carry! Our engravers will take good care of your tool to ensure it looks as good, or better, than the preview.

It’s very sharp and cuts well but the spring doesn’t work very well and you need to position it you can’t just open it and use it.long and the scissors that replace it are about 2" long when closed with less than 1" of cutting length. The Every Day Carry Leatherman Rebar is perfect for environments and job sites that need a handy set of tools, yet don't allow for knife blades. I was able to move the can opener from the blade handle to the screwdriver handle (by removing the lanyard loop). My belief is that this is a niche product for a certain set of people, who wants a tool but for one reason or another want's to skip the blade.
