With the Toy Story spin-off set to land on Disney+ beginning Wednesday, August 3, the home video options won't be far behind, as they will be released on August 29, 2022. Audiences will be able to view the tale behind the iconic space ranger from Toy Story on all major digital platforms such as Disney+ from Aug. The Zap Patrol – Meet the actors who gave voice to Izzy, Mo, and Darby, the untrained, unprepared rangers who join Buzz on the adventure of a lifetime. While the film received generally positive reviews for its animation, score and voice performances, it was criticized for its weak screenplay.

Its fair to say that Lightyear has a bit of a slow start and that’s going to translate over to the DVD, Blu-ray and digital formats when they come out. The film opened to lower-than-expected earnings at the box office, likely due to its competition in Jurassic World: Dominion and Top Gun: Maverick, and the fact that families may have been accustomed to Pixar films simply streaming on Disney+. That being said, Lightyear is a blast in the latter half and the whole “the biggest battle in life is with yourself” is a clever twist. The flight is also in anticipation of traveling to new galaxies for Star Command on exploration and peaceful first-contact missions.Lightyear arrives on digital and streaming on August 3, and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 13.
