Whichever option you choose, pay close attention to the flow rate of the pump that the manufacturer recommends. If the flow rate of your pump is not fast enough (it’s the L/hr number associated with the pump), the skimmer won’t work efficiently. The water pump isn’t included in this model. However, there’s space in the unit to put a pump in and to make it all self-contained, which is great if you’re building a pond in a more confined area.
