Mae yna fap o blaned y Ddaear, map o'r ddinas, y blocdwr a'r ystafell wely lle mae Martha'n byw – a hyd yn oed map o Martha ei hun. Among her many brilliant picture books is Don’t Dip Your Chips in Your Drink, Kate, written by Caryl Hart, which won Highly Commended in the 2010 Sheffield Children’s Book Award, Picture Book Category.Does the book contain anything that teachers would wish to know about before recommending in class (strong language, sensitive topics etc.)? No matter how small Martha may be and no matter how little room she takes up in the universe or Earth or city, she has the potential to go to big places and to achieve very big things!

Make a map of the area surrounding your setting and add features, such as bus routes, shops, library and play parks. Martha Maps It Out’ would make a fantastic book to share with children over the summer holidays when they might be looking at maps of places they are going to visit whether to be a theme park, different country or their own locality. They might enjoy creating their own ‘worlds’ with Lego or their toys and then recording this on a map. Parents might feel inspired to create a treasure hunt, offering their youngsters a map to help them locate a treat! If only my son were little again..! Finally I had the chance to read this one! I had my eyes on it for a while, then one of my libraries got in their collection… but apparently it went missing as it is still not on any shelves, and then I just decided to get it in English.
