About this deal

Key specs – Surface: Grass and astroturf; Outer material: Synthetic leather/rubber/cotton/polyester; Bladder material: Latex; Panels: 4 A child of the Nike Flight design – the official 22/23 Premier League ball – it boasts the same Aerowsculpt technology on the outer, with the moulded grooves to help reduce drag and provide a truer, more consistent flight. Alongside the grooves, the casing is textured for reliable control and first touch, no matter the weather, and the reinforced rubber bladder offers long-lasting air and shape retention. The new V12 Match balls get the balance right with the number of panel used in construction. Too many panels will give the ball a stable shape but this means that the amount of stitching is increased. An increase in the amount of stitching can reduce the speed of the ball. Fewer panels will make the ball more aerodynamic, but this can be at the detriment of losing shape. If you want to splash out a bit more, there’s the Delta Max, which features outer material made of a microfibre PU that is more durable and better protected against scuffs and scratches than that used on the Delta One.

FIFA Quality Pro certified, the Delta Futsal is an excellent choice for reliable, high-level performance. Key specs – Surface: Grass and astroturf; Outer material: Polyurethane, Polyester, EVA; Bladder material: Rubber; Panels: 12

The current ball is the new Mitre Delta V12 match ball. The Scottish Premier League and the Football Association of Wales also use a Mitre Ball. Developed for the use of the best players in the world, the finely-tuned Nike Flight offers precision and accuracy for consistent performance. The new Mitre V12 footballs are constructed from just 12 panels, but the technological advances in design have resulted in optimum accuracy whilst retaining maximum power and speed. This is the best ball ever produced by Mitre for both goalkeepers and outfield players. You also need to consider what the bladder inside is made of. Latex is used in premium balls to provide a softer feel, but latex bladders require frequent inflation. Cheaper balls use heavier materials such as butyl that might not feel quite as good on the foot, but will stay inflated for months at a time. How much do I need to spend? Our range of Mitre footballs includes Match, Training and Specialist balls. The FA recommend the following ball sizes: Size 3 ball for age groups U7 to U9 . Size 4 ball for age groups U10 to U14. Size 5 ball for all other age groups
